Dash lights backlight

I was installing some gte clocks into my nova and everything works apparat from the back light when you turn the side lights on. They were working before btw and my old clocks don't illuminate now either Any ideas? Thanks

Might need new bulbs or the current ones wiggling

Thought it was that but the old clocks don't work now either. Bulbs are all good and have had a wiggle too

Check you haven't pulled a wire loose on the plug

Any idea witch one? Pulled a few but no joy, the clock don't light up either

Definatley the fuse then, I think it's the one which says instrument back up? on mk1 fuse box it is written down on the lid, naturally in the mk2 it isn 't, you get hierogriphics which make little sense.

found it, was a 10 amp fuse but was under left parking lamp on the little bit written on it? did go through 3 fuses before it decided it wanted to work
