I have an XE gte at the mo. I dont know if to get some TBs or sell the engine and get a LET.
What are the pros of keeping the XE and what are the cons of getting a LET?
I know the let will be over £1000 but so will a good set of TBs.
Also whats the LET like on the F20 box?
my LET is fine on an f20, done a few track days and a million quarter miles and emergency starts lol, engines held up well to, but if your more into track days etc you cannot beat an xe on bodies!

im also thinking about turbo or jenveys I will keep my eye on this
I've never had ITBs but XE is a lot more fun and usable, LET is purely for straight line warriors

I like my twisty backroads and my let novas have been great even on the twisty stuff.

The other thing Im thinking is. IF the engine did **** its self, on the XE you can just get a new lump for what, £300??
but on the let your talking £1000 or rebiuld.

For an overall fun drive I say itbs. You cant beat the sound of a car on bodies being abused lol

For drive-ability i'd say ITBs
Either tbh lol.
If i was to fit a LET though in a track car then i'd try and keep it standard-ish power.
Huge power LETs are mental fun but just not suited to tracks in a Nova IMO.
Ive been in both on track, and TB'd XE did seem more suited to it! You can use ever last hp without spinning it away.

Sounds like the TBs are the way to go. And I know the engine I have is ok.
I have a non standard power LET in my nova track car running an f20 and have no issues with it spinning up the wheels & wasting the power coming out of the turns. No more than I did with an XE. Its how you put the power down that counts. Personal preference I would choose a LET over ITB's.
if its a drag car v6 on gas will smash bot itbs and LETs :)
Im building more tb'd/carb'd xes than 20lets now. More useable than a big spec turbo motor and less problematic. Ive always been an n/a man. A 200bhp xe with a diff with be quick on track. Olly won totb few years back with a tbd xe on the handling section

Im biased, i used to have a track car on itbs, and i loved it...
Best thing is go out in two cars with the setups on them and see what you like best.
Depends what you want the car for. Road I would go let with 260 ish bhp, track or weekender itbs

I would do both.Jenvey ITB's then a turbo inlet onto those that Jenvey manufacture. Best of both worlds!!
