View Full Version : webber carb manifold info
Hello hi have just got some twin webbers.but the inlet manifold are round and my head is square, will this make any difference to the performance?
Yep, big impact on the gains you get.
sell the manifold and buy the right one. Or better yet get a round port head for even better gains

The inlet of vinny will be fine on ures its the change from square to round or the other way in ure case that's the problem but not much different if ure not adding or doing engine mods also imo.
I drove vinnys sr with the carbs on that manifold felt great so unless ure gona swop head, do mods, service, cambelt etc just get the manifold of him and off u go, depending on price I'd have the round port of you so if you want let me know and will cost nothing as I'd just pay vinny
Think im going to get a round port head.it will have a cam unsure what cam at the minute.

Be interested to know what power gains ure gona get from swopping compared to the money ure gona spend as apart from being new head gasket the rest can be changed without doing a head swop and what is the gain 2bhp over the square port anyone?

The way an inlet flows isn't just about peak power.
