yamaha xj650 turbo carbs

im looking to put a turbo onto a 1.4 8v , i am wondering if the xj650 turbo carbs would be able to handle it? if not does anyone know what carbs would? also what turbo would be good to use?

the gear off a renault 5 gt turbo should be perfect... its a carb setup on a 1.4 engine...

as long as i can really, i am hoping to get a 1.4 8v as quick as a standard red top , i know it can be done !!

im not really fussed if it last a day or a month , engines can always be rebuilt :P

Just bear in mind that gt5 were renown for head gasket problems as standard so doing a similar I'd be getting a better upgraded head gasket to start with.

16v's can be tuned to similar power but i doubt you'll get a 1400 8v there without serious money, i'd invest that else where. I.e a new car, thats how much it will take...

Or just an XE...it will be cheaper, a hell of a lot more reliable and you will still be able to insure it
