Bloody crap Nova. HELP!

Sorry I keep asking your advice lads but I am stuck again.
Just got some sr/gte clocks to put in my 1 litre. Everything is fine except the rev counter.
When I rev my car close to when the pistons bounce (THRAPE THE SHIT) the rev counter only shows its doing 3000rpm. Shouldn't the needle be in or close to the red as opposed to half way? What can I do to combat this? Sr / Gte coil? Blow up the car? :?

the connection to your coil is probably not doing its job, or the coil could be faulty...
Anyway, I thought 3000rpm was the limit for 1 litre engines.

I litres don't have a limiter. You take it too far it blows up. Perhaps my car can only go to 3000 revs :oops: Fuck me that's slow.

I used to have a 1ltr and it used to do a hell of alot more than 3000 rpm, I had a monster tach on my dash and it used to go up to about 6000!
Possibly a coil problem :?:
