Putting my Nova on here to see what interest I get. I have put a lot of time, effort and money into this car. Its not the usual 2.0 Nova out there that have been bodged together.
The car is pretty reliable and never let me down, it drove from Newcastle to PVS and back without any faults and from Newcastle to Knockhill, did a full track day and back without any issues either.
Like most people know C20XE engines all vary, you get good ones and bad ones. One in this Nova is a very healthy lump, coupled with the close ratio box it accelerates very very well! I took it to Evotune in Durham and it ran a 175BHP figure.
Handling wise this Nova is unreal, you would never know its a big block. Its neutral with hardly any understeer. During the track day at Knockhill it was overtaking everything in its way from Civic Type-Rs to kit cars!
The car was featured in Total Vauxhall magazine in the 2013 May issue.
Currently on SORN and MOT till June 2014.

Engine & Transmission:
- C20XE engine, late coilpack type removed from 1994 Calibra with 84,644 miles (covered about 4000 in the Nova so far). Before it went in, it had a quick refresh with following bits:
Z20LET multi layer steel head gasket
While head was off it was fitted with new valve stem seals
Z20LET exhaust manifold studs and nuts
New gaskets on exhaust manifold, inlet manifold, rocker cover, throttle body, top hat, thermostat and thermostat housing
New LUK clutch
New coilpack
New cam belt
New top hat donut pipe
Injectors ultrasonically cleaned
New rocker cover breather pipe
New oil and filter, new gearbox oil too
Everything used was GM or OE quality if I couldn’t get genuine parts
- Magnex 4-1 exhaust manifold
- Magnex exhaust system
- Lightweight flywheel (4KG)
- Polished steel rear coolant rail
- Irmscher top hat
- Breather mod done
- TTV Racing aluminium bottom pulley
- GTE radiator
- Slimline fan
- Carbon fibre exhaust manifold heat shield
- Magnetic sump plug
- Samco coolant hoses
- Custom alternator mount nylon bushes
- Daewoo D16 gearbox with 3.9 final drive
- Conversion tapered drive shafts
- Custom silicone induction hose
- Engine mounts filled with tiger seal for extra strength

- Hybrid of Nova and Corsa B linkage with new GM bushes and nylon centre bush
- Griffin autosport conversion 2.0 mounts

- FK front coilovers fitted with 300LB 8" springs
- GAZ extra low rear coilovers fitted with 300LB 8” springs
- Compbrake solid top mounts (concentric)

- Whiteline 22mm secondary rear ARB
- Front upper strut brace (powder coated black)
- Front lower strut brace (powder coated silver)
- Anti-dive mod (tie bar brackets lowered 25mm)
- Polybushed track control arms (wishbones), tie bar brackets, front ARB, rear beam and both rear ARB
- Quick rack
- One piece steering rack brace/mount
- Tie bars machined 10mm for extra castor
