Need some help
i plan to try get this sorted tomorrow, I removed my carpet to dry the car, I manage to unplug the radio doing so, as I was refitting , I shorted the unit on the shell as someone had used the ign live from the car loom to run an remote wire for the amp.

Now my fuel gauge doesn't work , needle sit on the pin as does the temp gauge , I'm a bit poor with wiring. I think is a. Bad earth or a shorted earth

How will I know what a shorted earth looks like ?
how do I fix a shorted earth ?
And any ideas which earth would be to blame .?

Help lip will be payed with beer or man love at next meet lol

Check your fuse box first for any blown fuses.

When you earth the temp sensor wire the gauge goes to max then you know the gauge and wiring is fine

Should be Fuse 18, its a 20A one.

May also be worth checking the back of the dials to make sure none of the wiring track has been damaged. And sort out that audio wiring first lol
