Has anyone fitted another reverse light when using a twin fog light euro set up?
If so what and where have they been fitted?
Euro lenses look so much better but sometimes it can be handy to have a reverse light:confused:

I've seen people put reverse lights in clear indicators

Get twin reverse euro lights, had them on my Nova's and they looked mint, don't have to butcher your bumper to fit a reverse lamp either.

But you require a fog for mot that can be hidden under car also fitting one behind the tow eye once so lit up the bumper hole and that passed mot but was a while ago.

I have both Euro sides available if needed?

I did indeed. Fog is required for MOT, but doesn't really help much when you need to see behind you in the dark lol

I just fitted twin reverse custers and bodged in fog and reverse bulbs on each side in the reverse lamp bit.

If I remember correctly unless the regs have changed recently for that aswell but the reverse light only has to work if it is fitted. If it is not there then it is not testable! Fogs are deffinately a requirement though. My TD passed its MOT a couple years ago with twin fogs!

I run two fog lamps and just haven't bothered with a reverse. I just remember its not there for anyone else to see when I do reverse, and I'm extra careful about it. You could always just stick the hazards or an indicator on when you reverse to give other road users a clue your doing something :-)

Two of my Minis have no reverse light, just use an indicator, actually, the reverse light on Novas are so rubbish that if I am struggling to see I do put on the hazards aswell. as suggested above.

Just remember that other road users don't know you intend to reverse so be extra careful.

Pretty sure its not a testable item, even if it is there (reverse light I mean).

I don't give a toss about anyone else knowing if I'm reversing or not, I just like the ability to see behind me when going backwards on a dark night lol

Yup, the car moving backwards is usually a good indication I want to reverse. lol
I think if its there then it has to work, towbar electrics are now tested just because they are there. They tried to fail mine because there trailer board didn't work on our Vectra, plugged my board in and all was ok. That will be a pass please. :thumb:

Reverse light isn't a testable item.

Twin reverse and twin fog is easily achievable on a nova, fit twin reverse style lights and drill a hole in both reverse sections for sidelight bulb holders, wire these to reverse, wire main bulbs to fog and fit red bulbs. Job done.

the above does mean you'll have a twin reverse look at the back rather than a twin fog.

As the op states he likes the twin fog setup for looks I would suggest fitting a reverse lamp under the rear bumper to give light when reversing. Probably give as bad an amount of light as standard nova reverse lights lol

Agree with above. Reverse lights are not mot failures if they don't work

Thats how I did mine, only thing I would say is to use silvertec or LED fog bulbs otherwise the reverse lights will shine off the red bulb and appear pink lol

I have the twin reverse lamps on mine, they do look a lot better to be honest.
