URGENT !! Gearbox noise

ok ive fitted up a new engine and box as u may well know

having finally got it working ive noticed some werid things with the tranny

first of all the clutch is slipping

secondly the box howls like its in reverse while driving forward

AND it makes a scorey whining sound in neutral with the clutch up

if i depress the clutch it goes away

any ideas??

clutch release bearing is fooked. and as t=for the slipping, try adjusting the clutch properly lol

BUY A HAYNES MANUAL it tells you in there

the CRB isnt vital as you only change them when you change the clutch

the other nosies may go away with a properly adjusted clutch

check the oil.
If the box has been run dry, and the bearings are worn, it is not that hard to get them out and swap them (follow Haynes). the synchros are prob ok.
