Yo guys!!

I am about to buy a mk2 Nova 1992 1.4 SRI as a "2nd" car
I am 32, with no points or convictions etc.
These are the quotes ive had so far and i thought it seemed quite high :(

Auto net = 312
sky = 365 "they wouldn't do me classic insurance which i was very surprised??? As they are kind of to do with this site"
Grove and Dean = 260 "on classic insurance but restricted to 1500 miles a year"
Graham Sykes = cant remember the exact amount but was over 600!!!

Cant under stand why is quite high, as its only going to be used as a sunday car like most of us do lol

Can anyone else recommend a insurance firm that would beat any of the above quotes, by taking my age and no convictions into account?
Does the above sound about rite? As I am sure ive seen people on here with the 150ish quotes :(

I'm really confused. Anything under £350 is bloody cheap... Guessing you dont have ncb to use on it...

Naaaa as its a 2nd car, they did the "mirroring" the ncb. As I have over 10 years ncb on another car. I thought on a 2nd car as its going to be used a lot less that it was only going to be a little extra, as I pay 300ish on my first car. But even now they said "woooow SRI hummmm" its gonna be a bit more compared to a standard car!!!
Its not like I am going to go to the night time car park and do handbrake turns 1990s style is it!!! About how much is yours benn?

I'd be happy with that tbh.

Mine... Well every single componet has been modified, and i have 7k agreed valve. I'm 32, 12years NCB and it's my own car. Iirc it was £435. But tbh i can't really remember..

I wouldn't touch Flux with a barge pole tbh. I hope you never have an accident!

I'm with Graham Sykes, I'm 31 and pay £210 for the V6 in a Bristol postcode (so Beirut on a good day), but thats with a couple years NCB.

Sky don't do 'classic' policies, but they do limited mileage stuff. Which is better really, as proper classic policies have a LOT of restrictions on them. I think they also mirrored my NCB across from the GT4 when I was with them.

Whats bad about them jack? I've never actually heard of them before tbh. Ye I can't park it over night on a street unless I am within a certain distance from it. Plus the miles is no more than 3k a year. My main car insurance is due early next year so I was thinking maybe have the nova as a main car and drive the others as a 2nd car, as I've driven the nova everyday! Can't help it! Or should I be more sensible and not drive it as much as i will wear it out as its like 21 years old lol. Prefer driving it than a modern car! Can't help it! It's just sooo ace to drive lol
