As above, need to know, if the mk2 fuse box needs moving over when fitting Epas... As a few people have talk about it... Who's fitted it? What probs did you have?

The slot for the steering lock is in the wrong place on the casing so that would need cutting and rewelding in the correct place if you want to use the original cowling. Edd has done it on his setup.

Will let you know when I refit the dash, but it's looking like it will clear at the moment

This is something im looking into aswell, a friend did it on his mk1 rally car a few years ago, and the fuse box had to be moved, but he wasn't bothered about that so didn't try that hard to keep it in the factory location.

Ive a corsa c epas column but apparently the b is a closer match to a nova one.

I heard the conversion is easier on a Mk1 due to there being more space under the dash as well

Loads of space with a mk1 dash

That bit shouldn't be to hard, it's the fuse box that will be more annoying.

Still a mk2 dash? If so please. Pics if it's close/touching what ever.

Fuse box wasn't an issue Benn when I did mine.
yes the fuse box had to be moved slightly across but there was plenty of cable & literally just slid it across where it clipped into the dash about a centimeter.

Oh really? Any pics Martin?

No I haven't,sorry.
Put it in years ago before digi cameras were the norm so got very little old pics iam afraid.
just try un clipping fuse box from the dash & sliding across, won't need to go far & you'll get the idea.

I have a corse c e p a s system ready to go in I need to get a bracket welded up to support the extra weight of the motor, the system needs a brain box and some other loom stuff off the car as well, and I extra after market resister to control the gain, I not got around to fitting this yet as going to fit it in with my gsi loom and dash one that all running right then I was going to try fit the e p a s , will make up a guide if I remember when I fit it,
Timmy

Corsa-C column? has anyone managed it because of their length?

Ok lads here is some info for you:
Although my Corsa-B epas bolted up to the Nova fine:
https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/1378735_10153344067170214_1323970468_n.jpg

I installed the dash frame and found the column sits too high:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/936015_10153470459565214_945703460_n.jpg

I unbolted the front section of the corsa epas column and was left with this:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1462846_10153470461440214_947714394_n.jpg

Front section VS Nova column:
https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/1471867_10153470460705214_148822628_n.jpg

As you can see the bolting plates are the same length from the front end, notice the steering lock hole being at a different angle.
When turned on their side you can clearly see a difference in height between the two which was causing the problem with positioning:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1478977_10153470461420214_1900471322_n.jpg

Chop Nova column off as the collapsible section starts:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1450725_10153470462060214_1043034884_n.jpg

Chop end flange and a little metal off the Corsa front section:
https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/1472920_10153470462890214_1790077710_n.jpg

Weld this to this making damn sure the flange orientation and position/angle are perfect:
https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc1/579160_10153470462905214_1722532953_n.jpg

Like this:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1469939_10153470463335214_1953903260_n.jpg

This makes the Corsa-B epas column bolt straight up to the Nova's bulkhead in the correct position, it also allows the Nova ignition barrel to bolt up in the correct position and angle.

You still need to cook up a custom rear mount, here is mine:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1390705_10153297369810214_1093568800_n.jpg
Again this allows a plug and play fitment to the Nova's original mounting point.

Will update when I know about the fuse box clearance issue.

Ooooo good work John, like what you've done with mixing the two together too.

What the custom rear mount? Thought that just bolted in...
