Chaps

After my last post regarding bushes for the gear linkage pivot I managed to get access to a lathe (a chap to operate it) and a quantity of phosphor bronze bar.

I will be getting a pair of bushes made up in the near future. I was thinking that as I have the material and a machine and someone with the skill to operate the machine I might look to churning out a few sets.

A very basic tot up of the outlay means that a pair of phosphor bronze bushes would cost approximatly £20, would anyone be interested at this price?

Definitely interested! I'll take a pair of those off your hands for that price :)

What are the benefits of these instead of nylon?

They shouldn't require a cable tie around them to keep them in place :p Should firm-up the shift too, without wearing out so quickly.

I mean LMF nylon ones, not ruined OE ones.
