I had chance to have a go in MC's 1.4SR on twin 40's last night(as seen out at the recent rolling road shootout) - cheers M8 - great fun!
Without being too embarassing, by anybody's standards this is one fast and well sorted car. For me it really captured the essence of these small sporting Nova's. It is very quick for its size and in all aspects of driving it was extremely competent and great fun.
For anyone considering a similar conversion the answer has got to be yes. 100bhp at the wheels is there for the taking as is the big silly grin that will accompany it everytime you go out! Nuff respec :-))

Thanx for the complements, but I have had you for inspiration and advice. I`ve never been down country lanes so fast as a passenger. Its a weird sensation having somebody gettin the best from your car whilst your sittin in the passenger seat! :D

Correct car, altogether the motor has cost about ?5k including buying it, suspension brakes engine zorst the lot. Engine was about ?1500, but I could have done it cheaper. mpg is about 30 when driving according to highway code and about 20 when driven properly.
