Headlight rear brackets

Hi,

Bit of an odd one this, but I've got a mk2 nova that's missing it's headlight brackets - the ones that should attach to the centre back of the clusters :wtf:. I've got no reference to work on to re-instate them with something custom (though it looks like an angle bracket would do).

For the sake of getting it as close to original, does anyone have or could get me a pic of theirs please?

For the price of two used headlights I'd just replace them with better condition ones and the proper white clips.

White clips, they sound like the bit I'm missing - though there doesn't seem to be anything to attach them to the car.

That bracket doesn't look right to me, it should have a bit coming out (that clips into the white retaining clip). I'll get a pic of mine...

I'm gonna guess the mounting bit there has been removed. Is there a bit of plastic behind where that holes been drilled? It sticks out facing in to the bay..

I don't think so, the cars not at mine so can't pop out n check quickly. :)

Should be a plastic lug as part of the light pointing backwards I'd say its shaped off so the proper job woud be another light and the correct bracket.
You could bolt an angle bracket behind and cable tie it to hold in place.


The standard mk2 bracket just clicks into the front pannels long rectangle cutout below the light

This is the lug on the back of the lower headlight mount (for some reason I thought it came out the front, hence thinking yours looked wrong lol)

Not sure if Vauxhall still stock those white clips but you can buy them cheap on ebay. I bought about 5 pairs a while back as I keep breaking them lol

Ah I see, so its a fixed position then. Thats given me something to go on.
