Chaps

Does anyone make a center pivot bush for the gear linkage out of brass/bronze. The plastic ones in mine are goosed.

Not as far as I know...anyone who has them fitted will have had a pair custom machined

Just direct replacements for the original bushes which are no longer available from GM as far as I'm aware

I was going to machine some myself out of phosphor bronze but just havn't got the spare time at work to do so - I may be able to help you out if youre not in a rush

No they're not OE equivalents.

Instead of the original pivot bush being nylon surrounded by a rubber bush, these are direct fit 100% nylon items that remove all of the play on the middle pivot by removing the rubber and so work very well.

My apologies but bronze would be better if you can get them machined for a reasonable price

Thanks chaps

I'll try and get some made by our fitters at work. Ins there any differance between phosphor brinze and brass for longevity or resistance to corrosion?
