What is the difference between a 1.5td passenger engine mounting and a petrol engine passenger side mount?

Looking at pics of them they look the same, but price wise td ones double the price.

Everyone listing petrol one only list them as petrol and likewise with diesel.

I ask as I need one for mine, and if they are the same then I may awell save myself some money and buyer a cheaper petrol one.

So anyone know?

Iirc, its only the drivers side chassis leg mount thats different, but, you will possibly find a diesel one is stronger than a petrol one due to the weight difference in the engine!

Thanks for that.

I had thought there may a difference due to weight.

Petrol ones seems to be dead easy to get. Diesel ones are no longer made, so its a case of finding someone with one.

Might just give a petrol one a ago see what happens.

The mounting point on the inner wing is different on a TD so I would put money on the mount being different to a petrol one...
