Im looking at fitting a 1 litre swirl pot to my nova. I have a bosch astra gte pump at the minute to use as a feed and need a lift pump. what size am I looking at, would a LP fuel pump at around 30 gallons an hour be ok or could it be smaller/should it be bigger.

Its a bodied 1.6 8v.

cheers

if the swirl pot is full & working ok, then the max flow of the lift pump is almost irrelevant, as it will only need to top up the fuel that is used.. the pressure pump will simply draw fuel from the swirl & return the unused fuel. a facet red electric pump will cope with topping the swirl up.

The red tops are 40 galan hour. What about the facet posi-flo. They are 32 gal an hour and half the price of the red?

the car will only use 4 or 5 gallons per hour if it was being thrashed mercilessly on a racetrack, so the 32 gal pump should be more than adequate
