See i'm about to be battered by 80mph winds... Which does sound fast, but not that fast. It's 30+ now and not that bad...
See what happens... Guess i could get the patio table and chairs in..lol
Sat at the gfs having tea and biscuits with abit of a breeze out side......normal day so far haha
Bit of drizzle and wind here. Thats all so far lol
Terrible here already
Everything blowing over etc
I'm on nights tonight, so I'm hoping for a power cut so I can sit in the canteen all night

Is really patchy here, get really strong wind and heavy rain for a bit, then it calms down. Then it pisses it down again.

I live in central Scotland so it's nothing out the ordinary here, my mates just brought me a slipper suit from his rig so I can work in the pissin rain.
No rain all day here, bit breezy but nowt were not used to in Yorkshire, been out riding today in it and its been ace, done a long(ish) route incorporating all of our biggest climbs and did over 2200 feet of climbing, all good, few loose branches blown about but nothing like the 'zomg epic' storms they mentioned lol

You do realise youre going to struggle a touch there, a cow is a hell of a lot bigger than a tea/coffee mug
Bit windy here but nothing too bad. I'm hoping it gets windy enough for me to stick the kids outside and they accidentally blow away :)

All I know is that when I need to start putting sandbags on my doorstep then 80% of the country will be under water lol
The main storm is estimated to be between 2am and 6am

Im thinking the roads should be empty as they are tell everyone to stay in.
So if I go down the A11 north east I will have 80mph winds behind me, perfect time for a top end run lol

My wheely bin was knocked over this morning............................but by the dozy bint over the road reversing out her drive.
It windier now than it was last night...
Calm as a daisy outside now, nice and sunny too lol
Had a few quick showers overnight, little bit of wind. I like how the BBC weather site kept pushing the rain/wind back by a few hours, until eventually gave up and the "80mph winds" became 25mph tops.
I think its missed the SW though and gone more across London instead. Probably why the news is full of it lol
80mph winds we had in the end, between 7am to about 9am, lots of trees down, few squashed cars and a few tiles missing etc, make me wonder the storm of 87 must have been well over a ton!

Hahahahahahaha! 3 trees over around the farm, no worse than when we get a gale here really, load of bollocks. although i nearly took off walking to work which is understandable when they recorded 90mph winds down the dock at the same time lol

Why do you guys tup north keep going on about people that live down south?
I live in the south and I wasnt running about or worried about the weather, other than moving my bins so I dont have to pick them up tomorrow.
Just because I dont drink a bottle of whiskey a day and I havent had my teeth punched out and eat biten off dont make me a pussy.
because the news makes a fuss over anything that happens in the south.
in the north it just happens, then its done with, every newspaper front page had "zomg storm" etc on it.
The media and the government have further reinforced the north/south divide, and it will only get worse imo
It maybe normal for the north to have 100mph winds, or bad snow, or the worst rain, but it is very rare down here lol
