Chaps a few questions:

How do you measure the castor angle on the front of a Nova?
How do you machine the front of the tie bar so that it puches 10/15mm further into the tie bar front bracket, to increase castor?

Using a plumb line, at the center of the hub, when on the standard setting, then ad the caster you want. Measuring from the hub, back to the plumb line.

On the end of the shaft, you need to machine the end shoulder back more (to make more thread) So it can sit through the bracket more.

hi-jacking the thread a little.....
How does more castor help?

I know I need to machine it, how? It won't go into a lathe so how do I do it without introducing week points for stress fractures to develop?

Oh of thought a mill would be needed. As you can clamp it facing up, milling from the sides down.
