Ive been offered an engine/gearbox/loom out of a 1992 astra, the guy doesnt know much except that its a 1.4 injection, does anyone know what engine it will be? or if thy fitted different 1.4's at that time, just ive heard the c14nz isnt worth the time but the c14se is?

Hen said its out of an astra sport, but i took this with a pinch of salt.

the NZ is the single point injection, which is pretty gutless. (about 60 donkies)
the SE is the multi point injection, which is a whole lot better. (about 82 donkies)

and just for the sake of the info, while im here - the NV is the carb model, power wise in the middle (about 75 donkies)

I could be wrong, but I don't think astra sport came in a 1.4 ?

however, the engines are easy enough to tell apart by the inlet manifold (if you've got a picture)
