Basically they're much talked about but seldom done , two obvious reasons sealing to be (1) the fact you need to fabricate an os engine mount (unless someones making them now ?) and the rest seams standard to a c 20 swap . (2) you need to mod the os chassis rail , but even so with an eledged potential of far more strength from the internals , rock bottom prices in comparison roam let and rediculouse amounts of these engines out there why is no one peticualy keen ? IDE quite like to give one a go but I'm just thinking there must be a key stumbling block somewhere because otherwise more people would have done it .

Maki g the mount is one issue and it needs a bit more than a notch taking out of the o/s leg. Unless your a good fabricator I would save up and buy a let

Waste of time imo, im yet to see a decent powered or even a fast saab conversion done, alot of pub talk

Its not a case of making a mount you actually have to cut the chassis leg away

I realise the leg needs fabricating but it's something I can do and I meant the os engine mount as a separate job not the same one , and in awnser to the power things I'm sure there's plenty of bs story's about these much like let's lol but there was a light bluenova cover car in tv a few months ago with this done running 300 hp . But then maybe he was bs'ing aswell ?

I'm doing one at the moment in my mk2 Astra estate. Will put the pics up if you like? Iv had to notch the chassis in that.

As you can see it is the alternator on the back and the bottom pulley that are the issues. Im sure there would be more to cut out of a Nova. Some people machine down the bottom pulley to avoid notching out as much as I did.

I have lots of during pics if you needed them too. I used a modified Nova big block front mount and the rubber mount is the front gearbox mount from a mk3 Cavalier.

move the engine to the left, use a corsa driveshaft on the right & a shortened one on the left... ok, it means making 3 mounts, insted of 1 & some spacers, but the engine will fit in better.

Look at the amount of hacking required to fit one in a Cav! Sod fitting one in a Nova, wafer thin chassis rail!!

Is it not possible to change the multi grove belt to single v would that not give more clearance? And useing corsa shaft a good idea just use a thicker spacer on the rear mount modding them but would that mean a custom shaft on pass side?

It's all remade with 4mm plate. It's no weaker than it would have been before.
