2.0 16v brakes with thinner 20mm discs

I don't wanna sound like a cowboy, but, would it be ok to run these larger capacity calipers on the 4mm thinner discs, the pistons wont pop out surely ?

4mm is alot when your taking brake travel... And when pads get low they might come out/lose.

Not worth messing about with brakes, as its your life they save.
