i've just got an sri interior which is split seat. the interior i had in the car before was a full bench not split. any ideas as to what i can do for the supports i dont have for it? exept welding.
weld in brackets or just dont bother.........
Hi i had this problem, you need to drill out the mounts from a doner car
should look like this

Also you may have to cut off a funny Z shape support that held the complete bench up. You'll see it when you come to lay the seat flat, cos the small section wont sit right.
Remove it before you position the brackets for drilling!!!!
I decided on the rivet way of doing it as i was skint and it was easy to do.
Rivets and washers 2 on the top and 1 on the under side to strengthen the metal. I havn't bothered with the 4 front ones as it appears to be secure enough, and i don't know how much room there is behind between the tank.

before you say owt like it isn't neat or summet, i don't really care cos its held down well and the carpet covers it.

If you do it this way you can get access to the 4 rivot holes from the black plastic cap thing, use this hole and wedge a block of wood or summet under so you don't drill into the petrol tank!
