View Full Version : Rear disc conversion queries 😒

As above whilst trying to get j-llo a rolling shell ran into problems with rear axil as bought a bare disk conversion axil assuming that it was mk3 Astra setup so bought discs callipers etc painted everything up tryed to fit an were wrong so contacted guy he said mk2 gte setup so same again and today tryed tofit were wrong aswell :( it seems to take nova stubs as Astra ones are all different but disc doesn't seem to slide ryt on and even tho the callipers don't fit :( anyone any ideas what this setup is for?

Going from what i've seen, that hasn't been converted. They just added a bracket on the side maybe to hold a caliper.

The front plate is still Nova, the stud paton is Nova... So you wont get a disc hub on there unless you use a Corsa C one...

Unless they where gonna use a golf set up or something? As i'm sure they have a separate bracket...

I'm sure Protec sell kits with nice brackets to mount the VW calipers, it doesn't look very "DIY with a grinder" made bracket

Deffo looks like either a golf conversion or the conversion you can get to mount nova front calipers!

Cheers guys so if it was golf conversion what stubs an discs do I use? And front ones? Never heard of that? How does handbrake work? An what setup do you use for that?

I'd look at Corsa C disc, as they bolt straight on. As long as the bracket dont get in the way.
