I have rusty arches, will this affect the MOT?

How do I sort them out as it is up to the join in the arch. Do I:
a. cut the rust off and make some fibreglass ones
b. cut the rust off and get some bond on/weld on arches (where?)
c. cover the rust in underwater grease and forget about it!
d. (insert suggestion here)

Please help, the car is off the road at the moment due to rattly bottem end and is indoors surrounded by decent tools and kit.

Cheers

P.S. anyone want to swap blue SR seats for immaculate red SR seats, not a rip burn or tear in them, e-mail me robb@tms-stores.com

It shouldnt fail unless they are a sharp jagged edge, if you just tidy them a little and make sure there not dangerous you will be fine.

80% of Novas have rusty arches and they pass.

Tape over them or cover them up, Bodywork is a visual inspection, they can't look under the tape.

I passed 2 MOT's that way.
