Hi guys

I have a 2.0 redtop in my nova with a digi dash, took the car for mot at weekend and noticed speedo is reading incorrect. The car has a F20 gearbox and running 15 inch alloys any ideas. Going to get it on the the rolling road at work to see how far out it is at some point this week.

thanks
steve

Wrong speed sender?
Switch on top of digi dash in wrong position?

Try flicking the little red switch on the very top of the dash between the front and the white back, it's in between in a small opening

The only reason I say it's out, is because was on the way to the test centre. road went from a 30 mph to 40 mph road and put my foot down. Speedo read 18 mph. It's currently set to mph on the clocks. Ill try moving the red switch tomorrow.

Try using a sat nav to give you a true speed, they are more accurate than a speedo...especially in a nova lol

In my opinion you will never get it 100% bang on remember most Mk2 Astra 16v cars came with 14 inch alloys your running 15s so theres your first downfall. At my old work we had to reprogramme the clocks (Jaguars) if a customer wanted a different wheel size so his clocks would be accurate

You need a 16 IMP (impluse) transducer; vauxhall ones read AK on the side.

The one you have fitted is a 6 IMP so woefully under reads.

Not to say that you can't use a 6 IMP correctly, it just have to be matched to the right version of digi dash (early 8V versions).

If you do get stuck give me a shout I have a 16 impluse transducer that will fix it.

thanks pal
