Mk1 owners, show us yer steering wheel! i'm after a retro/aftermarket for my mk1 as the oe one feels huge! the mk1 dash looks awkward (but i'm not swapping it!) so not all wheel suit. Opinions/pics please. :)

Obviously mines a little different to the norm as the columb and seat position is modified, but you can get an idea what they look like.

Whatever you do DONT buy a cheap Chinese fake, or a suspiciously cheap ebay steering wheel, they are generally very poor quality, low grade steel which bend out of shape and are actually dangerous.

Spend a decent amount of money on a well known brand.

Another shot of an Omp Targa, but I personally didn't like this one as the hub is off centre so it goes around like an egg.

2nd a Mountney one, had one of those in 2000 and it suited the mk1 dash perfectly.

Wheel is in good condition but the leather has started to lose its colour. Not wear, just age, it is a bit of Patina :). Looks good IMO.

Maybe consider a Mazda mx5 momo too, they can look a bit big though.

A dished 3 spoke Sparco/OMP suede wheel goes fine with a grey Mk1 dash and standard interior :)
