The clutch should sit a little higher, but i'm talking 5mm or so.... Sure it was a Nova cable?

Nope, all novas had the same cable on.

Is it all connected right? Plastic bit on the end in the right place?

Well i,ve just changed the flywheel and clutch from pot type to flat flywheel and clutch... it was ok on old pot type clutch but since i,ve fitted new clutch the pedal was high with old cable so replaced with new cable still no different ....?? Is there any way that i might have but put cable in wrong on pedal or summat....??

sounds like the clutch has to be excessively adjusted to make up for the newly fitted flywheel or something.

if it works fine high up like that, maybe just pull the pedal out and give the bar a few tonks in a vice to bend it into a better position lol

I know it might sound like a stupid question but would i be able to build a metal bracket that i could either bolt to back of pedal so it sits flush with brake pedal....???
