View Full Version : E16SE MPi onto 14NV

Is it possible to fit the MPi system from an E16SE onto the 14NV in my 1991 SR? I have a 1300 head sitting here so think the ports should match my inlet manifold? Just an idea that came into my head there now, so no idea if it is worthwhile or not?

1300 head ports are different to the E16SE. The E16SE head is better so worth keeping but may lower the compression slightly

Don't have the E16 head though, it's still on my GSi. Just have the injection set up that I stripped off to fit the carbs.

I thought the head ports were the same as I was almost sure I used a 1300 manifold gasket on the GSi? Haven't looked at them though, all I know for sure is that the gasket I got fitted OK!

E16 is round port, 13sb is cathedral iirc,

You would be better off with an sri head. Wont hurt the compression ratio as much as he 1600 head

Would a Daewoo head be a worthwhile option then?

True! Can they be used with the distributor from the E16, or just a coil pack?

i dunno. i'd guess you'd need a peg type cam & a carrier for a dizzy engine
