Its the 80 fails on the theory test that gets me. How can you fail that, 90% of it is just common sense!

I think maybe after say 3 fails (on the practical) you should be made to take another xyz-number of hours of lessons?

you should ask mrs can't park, won't park from next door how many times she took

Or be sterilised.

i met a girl once who had failed her theory 9 times... i told her it was maybe god's way of telling her to take the bus

Was that metaphorically?

lets not get all philosophical.... she really was an air head & genuinely couldn't believe she'd failed it again. she was also religious...

Most test centres have a good 3-4 weeks if not more wait if you try to book a test, so chances are 27 attempts worked out to be around 2 years+!

The important facts have been lost amongst pointless chatter.

Was she a good shag?

All is explained by this comment, although you still have to answer L14's philosophical question lol lol lol

hmmmm.. i think threatening them with it if they fail 3 times will dramatically raise the pass rate

Id be looking at the instructor at fault more than the candidate, when i passed my test, i was one of six to go out on test at the same time, and afterwards my instructor told me all the others were bitching in the waiting room about the examiners they had been given for their pupils..

"Oh so and so is really harsh, always fails mine" and varying other comments.

He didnt say anything to them but was thinking that if they were preparing them to an adequate test standard then they shouldnt fail at all!

I was the only one of the six that passed, they all failed!

This may indicate why there's so many bad drivers who pass as well:

but anyone can teach you to drive, as long as they have held a licence for 3 years.... as long as they don't charge for it.

we employ a bloke who used to be an instructor but jacked it in cos agressive marketing by the big schools was losing him loads of work... he has a very low opinion of driving instruction in general.

its odd, but he is not exactly a very good driver. he's ok, but lacks confidence to drive large vans, pickups & he is class 2 hgv & is petrified of ours..

My mother took 20 something goes at her driving test. Spread over loads of years and lots of different instructors. In the end she got hypnotised into believing she could pass. lol

Gotta agree with spud, the instructor shouldn't put a pupil in for a test unless they are ready,

Driving aint that hard lets be honest!

I had no lessons for my HGV test, the examiner asked me to complete the reversing part of the test, I had to asked him what I was ment to do as I had no idea, his face was a picture, didn't know there was a gear change exercise either lol, passed first time with only 4 minors.

I found it all easy, did 13 hours of lessons and was told to do my theory as I was about ready. Did not a lot for about 2 years. Booked my theory, didn't revise at all but passed both bits, so booked my test too do it in my own car. Got the necessary bits and drove to the centre then put the l plates on before going in and booking in, did the test and passed so whipped the l plates off and buggered off lmao
