i'll get it all properly checked when i have the pennies, i can sort the tracking out as i go, but i dont have access to proper 4 wheel alignment gear so i can get the camber somewhere near, so it doesnt feel bloody aweful to drive. any tips, or old school techniques anybody wishes to share?

how did i know you'd have an answer :)

i did think of that - used to have a little magnetic one but gave it away. duct tape will work, right?

i spose so. magnets don't exactly stick to alloy wheels, so people must fix them on somehow

Most digital spirit levels aren't accurate enough IMHO.

Go old skool http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Geo_Alignment_Rig_(Home_Made)

you can get an app for your phone. basically an inclinometer, providing you are on a flat surface with your suspension suitably settled or 'scrubbed in' its probably not too bad.

i would just stick some camber gauges on it.

camber is easier to measure than toe as all you need is a flat surface, a spirit level (or setsquare) and an idea of what you are trying to achieve.

I had a couple of jacks on the bottom balljoints so I could remove the wheels but keep the weight down on the hubs and level it by adjustin the jacks then spirit level over the hub
