Anyone recommend the ideal air filter for twin40s?

At the minute ive got 2 k&ns but have seen 1 air filter that sits accross both carbs, where can you get these? tried lookin on the net but cant find what im after.

Also got my trumpets on now and the k&ns are poo with these on as they nearly block the intake with the metal plate.

thanks

Demon Tweeks sell the long single filter, can't remember the price, or make, will look it up later if I get chance.

went on the itg website but the only list products with out a price, was mainly looking for a price so i roughly know how much im going to be spending.

Do piperx do 1? tried looking on their site but couldnt find much.

Right, had a look, Pipercross do one for ?74.15 to fit Twin DCOE carbs, K&N do a panel filter that has a blank base plate so you can cut your own holes, ?103.99 - Both prices from RED Demon Tweeks catalogue.

I had a Pipercross one on mine (Paid ?40 for it from pipercross at Trax a few years back)
Well recommended but so are the individual socks.

I had pipercross socks (two of them) on the 40's, have a look at my car by clicking on the feature below this post to see what they are like, only ?30 for the pair. They just slip on and off and are easy to clean. Because they are foam, they won't hit the bulk head like k&n's do when the engine moves on hard acceleration, they just compact slightly.

Get some proper TAS engine mounts and the nothing will touch the bulkhead!!
