I seem to remember my 288's being tight under Alessios... so I doubt it

Iirc johnny is correct, 288 Is as big as you can go on 16" speedlines.

I've had 308s under cav turbos no problem and they're 16s too

What about the willwood 280 4pots? I ask because the caliper looks bigger (longer)
Or is it not worth it? As the willwood are over £500.
The car isnt going to be a track car. But I will be driving fast (on privet roads) and may do some track days.

Im guessing its because they dont have the spokes that go in like the speedlines. I was just offered some astra xzr brakes but they are 322mm so defo not going to fit

256mm discs and some proper spec pads will do the job more than adequately.

I don't rate 256s for anything past a standard 1.6 16v tbh

And just to let you know brakes off a mk4/mk5 astra dont bolt straight on a nova hub, 308s from a 2.6 vec b gsi do though

Power/engine does not dictate the brake spec.

I'm pretty sure my wilwood setup is 310mm and goes behind allesios. Brackets and bells needed machine work though and theirs only around 10mm between the inside of the wheel and the caliper but it all fits/works great.

Would you say the wilwoods are worth the money? Or would you say just put some v6 or turbo brakes on?

Yes I would.... I've used 16v,v6, 4pot Reylands amongst others and the wilwood kit definitely seems to work/feel much better. Obviously though gm brakes are a hell of a lot cheaper so it depends on your budget.
