I tried to chap the door pins out but they won't budge. What size are the pins so I can buy a door pin remover?

Cheers

8mm mate, cut down a bonnet stay and smack it through

you cant do that with the top one, but the bottom must be pulled up, or you have to punch the pin into the door.
buy a removal tool theyre not expensive and they come with a selection of pin sized drifts.

I used a flat bar with a notch ground in it so it sits up against the collar of the roll pin then hit it through with a knocking stick! Also makes it easier if its possible to do it from inside the wheel arch if there's no wings on it.

Where's best to get the tool from? I've had a look on halfords etc and cant find them. I ideally need it for tomorrow.

I got my tool for this from autosave in bridge of don, it was a draper tool but after a few pairs of doors, it will be knackered lol

And as said earlier, loads of wd40, start putting this in now.

The top pin is easier tha the bottom one.

the laser tools one is ok..

main tip is to support the door & raise it slightly, basically open it & put a rag on top of a decent jack. the pins wear into an offset & if the weight isn't taken off, putting them back where they were when new, they will be murder to remove.

Don't use wd40.Its for noisy door hinges etc.Its fukking crap.Use deblock oil or Halfords shock and unlock which is surprisingly good stuff

I tried the asda own wd40, it really osn't as good but halfords do the big wd40 cans at a reasonable price.

If you cant get the pins out you could heat them up, if you can get hold of a gas bottle

if you 'crack' them off by pushing them down a small piece, then pull them up with the tool they will definitely come out

WD40 and copper grease just aren't the same as they used to be, alternative materials used which now make them crap.

Spray oil that is good that I use is called super7

Isnt WD40 some sort of fish oil? Or is that a myth?

Thats a no then lol

Myth: WD-40 contains fish oil.
Fact:
Consumers have told us over the years that they have caught some of the biggest fish ever after protecting their fish hooks and lures with WD-40. We believe this legend came from folks assuming that the product must contain fish oil since it appears to attract fish. Sorry Charlie®, it just ain’t so.

WD-40 Company has taken steps to respect and conserve the environment, and encourages its users to do the same. While WD-40 can be used to help protect fishing equipment from rust and corrosion, WD-40 Company does not recommend using WD-40 to attract fish.
