I am after an MP3 head unit... but never really looked into head units that much...

Must be less than ?300.
Must be brand new.
Must have blue illumination.
Must have preout.

That's pretty much my only specifications, anyone know whats any good?

Mp3 Auto Changers have started cropping up now,
make sure to get a unit that will allow you to add one later,
would prob. fit nicely in the Nova glovebox.

Ones I've come across are Sony, Jvc & Alpine,
other manufacturers are bound to jump on the bandwagon.

best head unit i've ever had, i've had loadsa makes too!

i got the sony cdx mp40,
4 x 50w, pre out, BLUE DISPLAY, sweet sound, less than 200 now
oh yeah, came with a silly card remote too, been very happy with it though, good if your front speakers are low

Just bought the Sony CDMP40. It has blue illumination as you want and come with a remote and reads CDR & RW. Go to lowcostcaraudio.co.uk Now only ?125. Bargain indeed and is a great stereo. Leave's spare money for beer or to spend on the rest of your system.
