Hi there I have a bog standard nova gte, I'm looking to puta xe in it. What is my parts list as in hubs, gear box? Wiring? Radiator? What mounts do I use? Is 60mm springs to much or will 30mm do with weight difference. Cheers

You could just buy the whole conversion kit off LMF and the rad is fine maybe a slim line fan.

The gearbox is your choice f16,18,20. And no just lowering springs won't be a sufficient suspension modification. Either a decent set of coilovers or big piston blinstiens.

And bigger brakes will be needed you can get them from a mk2 astra gte or cavalier Sri/ turbos

And the wiring is a peice of piss there is a brilliant guide on here for the wiring it's only like 4 or five wires

Yeah I'm gonna put full suspension kit on the car, what about exhaust? Just had a look at lmf site do you only need one engine mount?

Yes just the one bracket for the drivers side, then a spacer for between the gearbox and rear mount. Just modify your existing exhaust to fit the XE manifold

Will the xe engine run fine with current gear box and xe clutch? Shafts? Or will I need to change hubs for 2ltr brakes

please read this....

this subject has been covered endless times on here & doesn't need it again...

ps, you might want to look at fitting a smallblock xe (1600 16v) as it is a load easier to fit, it works well, and with tuning can produce good results, and as gte's are getting rare, it could be easily reversed.
