my fuel guage has just started playing up

going along on the flat, I know I have around a 1/4 a tank. Next minute its gone right passed full and the empty light is on.

Now the empty light is on 90% of the time no matter where the needle decides to sit.

ANy ideas?

When I had my GTE tank fiberglassed they put the sender back in and broke a wire inside, might be worth checking if you've just put it in, could've caught on the way in.

I used to watch mine go down when I had my foot to the floor.
Also when I filled it up, even 50p's worth it would go over full and off the scale.
