Pic request... Saloon with 15/16/17" wheels?

After some ideas in what size wheels suit a saloon, decided now my v6 brakes a huge I can't go for my original plan of banded 14s

So I need a feel of what size wheels to get thinking 17" will be ott 16" just right but dear tyre costs 15" to small?

Due to the round arches 17's are fine

The bigger the size wheel the higher the car (which is why most people think 17's look too big), so the bigger the lower. Trouble is the arch tubs start to complain with 7J's and massive lows, but being a saloon you have slight better clearance which is nice.

It's widely accepted that 16s are the best size for looks, 14s being best for handling and 15s being a nice balance of the two.

But for now it will be something 16" or 17" and fairly cheap lol

I hate "cheap" wheels..... But due to maddogdaz my original plan of a marrakesh brown eurod saloon is out the window..

So now it will be a 90s themed clean rep on periodish wheels.

What offset should I be looking at?

My 15s that are on atm 15x6j et49 185 60 tyres are beyond touching the coilover :/

I'm thinking 7j et20-35 16/17 195 45 should be ok?

I'm running 15" et28 with 165/50 tyres at the min. I've had to add camber all round now with how low I'm running it. But we're fine on avo coilovers on the lowest possible and -70 rear ish
I have had some BBS RX's 16" et 42 with 195/45 tyres on that did catch a little on knackard spax shocks and -60mm springs with no arch work. Ill try n find a pic

My 17 are a 49 offset

Old ones werea 45 offset

Both running 205 40 17s

£150, they could do with a refurb, and the tyres are all legal, a couple only just.

I think they'd look cool refurbed in red to match your interior.
