c20xe nova maf relocation help

Hello folks just need to make sure that i wont have any problems cutting and extending the air flow meter wires so my maf and filter sits the otherside of the engine on my redtop nova just to make a bit more room and look a bit tydyr.Is it safe to cut and extend?

just make sure the wires are of a suitable size & the connectors are good quality

Spot on thanks mowgli i will cut out a wiring loom from a scrap car and try color match and match the wire size.
