lol

Over 6 hours round trip to pick up my new sr nova from south wales today, purchased on ebay without viewing it first, didn't really expect to win the bidding to be honest! It has a 2ltr sri 130 engine fitted, I knew it needed rear arches and I was prepared for that.

Most of the problems are easy fixes but i have nowhere to work on it so not sure what to do with it. Its just a total bodge, wires everywhere. Thinking maybe strip the engine and loom out, fit a c20xe. Fuel lines need re routing, handbrake cable needs replacing (its been fitted under the exhaust? looks like its holding it up!).

Or break it for parts, I should get my money back on it, but don't want to kill another nova.

I still had a smile on my face the whole way home though, I wasn't even driving it! :thumb:

its the law of diminishing returns..

most of the really good novas already have owners.

fuel lines & wires are a couple of hours work tops..

handbrake cable is much less than that.

as for the arches & other rust, thats the hard bit.

but, it drove all the way from south wales to epsom, so i really can't be that much of a shed

Yeah i know, ive had a set of cav expression alloys lined up since i won the auction. Going to go have a proper look around it now, pull the bumpers off for a good look if they havn't fallen off yet

Needs a new front panel, it's been welded before but it's been bent and there's a crack starting in it

Going to advertise it for what it owes me and if no luck I will break it for parts

That's fair enough tbh.

Yeah I think rot is going to be the deciding factor here (taking into account you have no where to actually de-rot it).

However if you do break it I'll take the single wiper conversion off it :)
