Me and my mate fitted braided brake lines to his integra today and bled each one as we went along the pedal was a good solid pedal when the engine was not running but as soon as we started the car the pedal went hard then spongy like theres air in the system there are no leaks anywhere so could it just br a case of needing to bleed the brakes in the correct order ??

maybe you need to pressure bleed them.

Ohh man :( we are gonna try and bleed them in order tomorrow as when he drives he has a fair bit of travel but the brakes are still a good solid pedal when it gets the lol

I assume your aware that once the engine is going the servo works so there will be more travel in the pedal. Pehaps they just need bled some more, there may be a small air lock somewhere in the sytem

The abs module will have been powered up and flushed crap fluid or air in.

We are just going to flush the system through and replace it with dot 5.1bleed it all in order and hopefully that should cure it

Bleeding hydraulics can be a pain esp' forever alone.

as said, try making the ABS pump work hard by skidding it on grass or gravel. that should help circulate fresh fluid or at least chase some air bubbles along a bit.

its a lot of work for basically a minor modification. make sure the abs system will cope with dot5.1

5.1 was designed for abs systems lol unless its early French ones that take dot 5.0 lol
