Would a 1.4 SR beat a 106 Quicksilver as standard?

If not would a 1.4 sr with 32/34 webber carb, piper performance sytem and tiger performance backbox, piper 272 degree cam and K&N bolt on filter beat it?

Nova lowered 60mm all round and on wheels 6.5 inches wide.

What have you lowered it with?
If its 60mm springs on the standard shocks then you will get beaten by an enormous amount through the corners if its even slightly bumpy.
If its a decent lowering kit with matched shocks and springs it will be a close call, those 106's handle excellently

In a straight line you should beat him with the work done you mention IF its setup right and the engine isnt losing valve seal or ring seal etc

but moded mova should win
if the quicksilver is the same susp. set up as the gti you is gonna get whipped through the corners
