Are mk1 front window the same as mk2 also how difficult are they too fit

identical.

it depends what you class as difficult...as long as the rubber seal is in good nick & you have fitted a screen before, its about a 5 minute job.... or you find a windscreen fitter & offer him cash.

if you plan to fit it yourself, put the seal round the glass, then put some good strong string round the recess of the screen & tie it into a loop with a couple of inches slack.. position the screen over the hole, and while applying some pressure, start pulling the string into the car... it will pop the seal into place..
