How wide of wheel can fit on the front of a salon aim wanting to band some 14inch sr wheels and run big r888s
tbh, 6j with r888's would be pretty good for grip & handling. but i think people have managed 7.5j with skinny euro look tyres

I run 7j wide on et28's with a little stretch. So with proper offset wheels 7.5j would fit nicely. Possibly 8j on the rear

You won't get 8j on the front with standard arches and proper tyres.
I'm running 14x6 et13 and I've had to add alot if camber to make them fit under the arches. Goes round corners well though lol

They're pretty wide on this one.
Seriously though, 400 brake? It's the crack pipe you wanna put down. Not power. lol

chop the wing out, and fit some beefy wide tyres :)

6j will if you sort out suspension, diff etc & possibly traction control..
Are you after cornering ability or straight line drag strip grip? If the latter, I think a slightly thinner but taller tyre would probably be better.
