Heater issues

Hi guys is it right - normal when I turn the heat control nob to hot the hot air only comes out of the side vents as cold air still comes out of the centre ones if I close the centre ones its hot air all the way almost forgot its 91 gsi

Certainly correct on a mk1 dash

same on mk2,centre vents only blow cold

It's like that on all as a sort of aircon lol
