I have painted my bumper with humbrol bumper paint, in some areas it has stuck well and in others it has bubbled and flaked. Is this too much paint, or not degreased properly? I'm off to sand it with a fine sand paper an try again (for the 2nd time)

don't know what the paint is like but it is all in the preperation. sand it, degrease it and sand it. did you use a primer? how many coats did you use etc

cheers, think it's cos i didn't sand it. the paint is now pretty uneven, and still flakes in the very corners of the grooves. so i don't know what to do: sand till it's all kinda even, sand it all off an start again, or keep painting till it's even?

nah best way is to sand it loads, then put loads of primer on, let that stick onto the bumper then wen u spray it the paint will stick to the primer good, better then the bumper.

sand between layers of paint as well using 1200 wet and dry
