Hi there I'm new on here. Don't drive a nova but have a c16se powered astra cesaro mk3. I spotted a set of bike bodies for a c16se on ebay a while back but missed out on them. I believe the user was Northern Irish and had his ebay name which led to me finding his name here (turbo-boy). I'm not sure they sold, anybody on here know as I'm interested? Cheers :d
unless you are prepared to spend about a grand on throttle bodies & a mappable ecu, just slap a 2.0 16v in.

Yeah I know you have a point there mate but can't beat a good 8v plus the redtop is heavy.
and throttle bodies on an unmodified c16se is worth about 10hp max, with a loss of low end torque... but it sounds cool...
spend on getting the head done & maybe a decent exhaust & camshaft long before putting bodies on.

as above.
you need standalone management for bodies anyway, so best solution is to use it with std manifold then upgrade and fit ITBs later.
there back on again
Ebay link removed
nice, but on their own they won't be worth a thing...its the rest of the injection setup that is going to cost the money.
good exhaust, cam, R1 carbs, manifold, fuel pump and megajolt, job done.

Looking at easily £2000+ for that^^
precisely... its why sticking in a big engine is the obvious choice... 2.5 v6 would be nice..
not if you buy smart, i got R1 carbs and fuel pump for €120, megajolt €300, made my own inlet manifold, set of kent cams €200 and all ready had an exhaust.

And if you don't come across such bargains, don't already have an exhaust and actually wish to rebuild the engine before hiking the power up...??
Hence why a 2.0 16v would make more sense, especially in an Astra where the big block argument doesnt matter
from the ops post doesn't sound like he wants to throw in a redtop. just giving him some advice.

Cheers guys. Hi John, it's drew from Blitz and Griffin, long time no chat. Bought the bodies anyway so ill keep my eyes peeled for some good value management. :)

when did tuning become about penny pinching, you guys never spent 60quid on a induction kit to only lose 3 of the 5 hp your car had to begin with and still end up with a smile on your boat because of the added noise lol
well drew ya its been a long time! did you join the new site when it started?

Yeah I joined but lost interest really lad. Wasn't the same in my eyes.

Yeah lad to be honest it was a poor enough forum before and still is even with new management. Thats not any knock at the new lads but the interest isnt there to get people going. I much rather the English forums as there's something happening at least.
