195 45 15 v 195 50 15?

Pro's and con's of 45/50 profile on a nova?

Also has anyone put 165 50 15 on a 6/7j rim for the stretched look? Pics?

I had budget 195/50/15's on my Nova and the fronts scrubbed the arches on a 60mm drop so I changed them for Toyo Proxes T1R 195/45/15's and have had no scrubbage since!

^^ That's my only input I'm afraid.

ive put a 165/50 15 on a g60 steel that was on a mk1 golf and it looked cool, ill try and find pic later for you

Scott Parkers got 165/50/15's on his cavalier expression's I think, they fit perfect I rekon.
I also run 165/50/15's but my rims are 7j wide

195/50 are cheaper and easily available. But will rub on some setups.

195/45 look and fit better

I've ran 45s for years, can't justify the price now at the rate I get through tyres so moved to 50s. I'd say the 45s look better as there's less sidewall, but 50s ride a little nicer and being loads cheaper is always a bonus. Then again if 50s don't fit under your arches then that's decision made!

I have 195/50R15 on cesaro rims on mine its lowered 40mm and has rolled arches and it never scrubs.
