1.6 SV engine problems

Hey all,

Have a 1.4SR with a 1.6 SV engine fitted on twin 40s. Been havin problems with ignition sometimes not kicking in or clicking over. After a few attempts it eventually kicks in and starts. Is this problem down to coil? Had new plugs and leads fitted but still have problem.

Also is coil and distributor off nova Gte compatible to test?

coil & dizzy off a gte is different, and won't work.

it sounds to me more like battery, starter or ign switch problems.

I had same problem with my gsi, went through the ignition system, checked all connections, found ignition switch was knacked, easy to replace, and only a few quid, there is 2 different types, maybe more
