The car started life as a one owner 1.2L and has had all the parts from a low mileage 1.4 SR transferred onto it - the result being a stunning mk1 SR in clean and tidy condition. The car has an extensive history present, including the bill of sale when new and all old MOT certificates - all of them being done at the original dealer until last year!
The interior is in near mint condition, with none of the usual bolster wear or nasty marks. The standard stereo is present, in full working order and dealer fitted mats are present - all rare features in themselves. A period mountney steering wheel is now fitted (not the one in the photos).
The bodywork has all the usual SR features, rear boot spoiler, window surrounds, gutter trims, and a deep front bumper and sports grille. It is very clean and tidy - not mint by any means but far above average. There has been a DIY repair to the OSR wheel arch lip which could do with redoing properly. It also has some scratches and marks as you would expect. There is a crack at the bottom corner of the windscreen - I will include a spare in the sale although it is not an MOT failure. There is a shallow trolley dent in the tailgate although you can only notice in the light. Please let me reiterate this is not a mint car - so if you want mint then look elsewhere, this is not for you. It is, however, solid and tidy. The usual areas are good - doors in excellent order, had a repair to boot floor for MOT. I cannot imagine any welding being required anytime soon. It has a "Corsa GT" tailgate vinyl fitted and also a GT grille badge - the European version of the Nova SR; easily changed if its not your thing but certainly turns heads!
The car has some modifications - it has a full GMAX suspension kit fitted with 60mm lowering springs, a front strut brace and a GTE antiroll bar with polybushes. It also has uprated front brakes - 256mm discs and calipers, new discs and new Pagid Fast Road pads (100 miles max). Also a GTE master cylinder and servo is fitted to make the braking effort less with the uprated brakes. Goodridge braided hoses are also fitted.
The 1400 engine is fitted with a Kent AST2 cam, and vernier pulley. In addition, a Piper foam air filter is fitted. Recently it has had a full service which included the following; cambelt, sparkplugs, waterpump, rotor arm, distributor cap, thermostat, oil/filter (genuine Vauxhall). It has a Janspeed 4 branch manifold and a Eurorally exhaust system (2 1/4" diameter) - the exhaust is slightly raspy but NOT loud in anyway, it is designed to meet noise restrictions in motorsport and has a conservative chrome 2 1/4" tailpipe. The engine pulls very well through the gears, and idles quite lumpy (due to camshaft presumably) - if I were keeping the car I would have it setting up on a rolling road for optimum performance.
Regrettable sale, and a bargain at the price - I could break it for more, but I wont be doing that, it deserves a good home.

For the time being, yes (and once it is actually collected)

However, 58 Novas in 13 years means its probably not going to be long before the next.

I have a new project, but its non-Vauxhall .. and I will say no more..!
